A woman and her young son whose bodies were found in the trunk of a car abandoned northeast of Toronto over the weekend have been identified as Andrea and Brock Damude.

Andrea Damude's Facebook profile shows a doting mother who posted pregnancy photos and, later, updates about her eight-month-old son's teething troubles and her upcoming birthday.

"My poor baby is teething and so miserable," Damude wrote earlier this month.

Then, last week, she wrote about her upcoming birthday.

"My birthday is on Friday and all I wish is for one night of undisturbed sleep," she wrote.

Damude's body, and that of her son, was found on Saturday, one day after her birthday, in Sunderland, Ont., a small community about 100 kilometres northeast of Toronto.

CTV Toronto's Tamara Cherry has confirmed that autopsies will continue on Monday.

After the bodies were discovered, Durham Regional Police said post-mortem tests may help them figure out how the pair died.

A resident had called police after noticing a white, abandoned car in a farmer's field. When officers arrived, they found the bodies in the trunk.

Durham Regional Police said they are not seeking any suspects at this time.
