Freezing rain is expected to coat most of our viewing region from Thursday night into Friday morning before changing to snow.

Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for all eastern Ontario and western Quebec except Kingston, Belleville and the Pontiac areas.

They said a low pressure system coming from Indiana would move over western Ontario early Thursday evening, starting as snow or ice pellets then changing to freezing rain and rain.

Over eastern Ontario, they said the freezing rain would likely last through the night before changing to snow.

Ottawa is forecasted to see two to four centimetres of snow and ice pellets Thursday eveing before the change to freezing rain.

Environment Canada said the weather could make for dangerous driving conditions Friday morning.
