Police looking for witnesses to snow plow crash

Ottawa police are looking for witnesses to a west end collision that sent a woman to hospital in critical condition Tuesday night.
"It was during rush hour around 5 p.m.," said Cst. Marc Soucy. "I'm sure a lot of people saw what happened."
"We need these people to contact us so we can find out what really happened."
The crash happened at about 5:18 p.m. at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Iris Street when a dump truck with a plow hit a woman as she was crossing Woodroffe.
The woman, 40, was found underneath the truck. She sustained life-threatening injuries and she was transported to hospital in critical condition.
"She had suffered extremely serious internal injuries and fractures to her lower limbs as well," said Paramedics spokesman J.P. Trottier.
Investigators are looking for more information about the collision. They're asking any witnesses to come forward.
