Ottawa police have released a description of two men involved in a pharmacy robbery Tuesday, while announcing the unrelated arrest of a youth for armed robbery charges.
Police said a man entered a pharmacy around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Carling Avenue and demanded cash, which he got and fled with.
He is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old, around 170 pounds and five foot eight inches tall with a medium build.
He was wearing a dark green rain jacket with blue patches running down the shoulders and the hood up, a dark Washington Nationals cap, beige cargo-style pants and black running shoes.
They said there could have been a second suspect of the same age range outside, described as white, pale, with a dark brown moustache, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with lettering across the chest and a blue baseball cap.
Police also announced Thursday they have charged a 17-year-old in connection with three convenience store robberies in Ottawa's south end between Nov. 8 and 29.
The suspect showed a knife at two of the robberies in the 4000 block of Bridle Path Drive and a handgun at another, demanding cash and cigarettes each time and bus tickets on one occasion.
He is charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise, three counts of possession of weapons dangerous to the public, and a single count of pointing a firearm.
