BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A jury in Belleville, Ont., found 50-year-old Michael Garniss guilty of first-degree murder Thursday night.
The deliberations lasted about five hours.
Garniss was convicted of fatally shooting 48-year-old Lisa Palmiere, also known as Lisa Todd, inside her Trenton, Ont., home in February 2010.
Garniss, who was arrested at a truck stop in Bowmanville, Ont., soon after the shooting, was sentenced to life in prison.
He won't be eligible for parole for 25-years.
