A construction worker is in hospital after an accident with his saw just west of downtown Ottawa Monday.
Ottawa paramedics said the 27-year-old man was working to demolish a building on Booth Street near the Chaudières Bridge when his saw kicked back around 10:10 a.m. Monday.
They said he suffered deep cuts to his chest and upper arm, which were treated by his co-workers using first aid before paramedics arrived.
He was in serious but stable condition when he arrived at hospital.
Paramedics said the provincial Ministry of Labour has been notified of the incident.
