OPP have released the name of an eastern Ontario man killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 Thursday morning.

Forty-six-year-old Robert Berger of Mountain, Ontario (east of Kemptville) was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash between his 2005 Nissan Sentra and a transport truck.

The driver of the truck was not injured, and there were no passengers in either vehicle.

The crash happened in the eastbound lane of Highway just west of Turcotte Road in Whitewater Region, near Cobden, around 11:50 a.m. Thursday.

Highway 17 between Turcotte Road and Mountain Road was re-opened around 3 p.m. Friday. The investigation is continuing.
