OTTAWA - A two-alarm blaze destroyed an empty bungalow in west-end Ottawa late Friday.
Close to 60 firefighters were called to fight the fire at 4057 Richmond Road in Bells Corners.
The property belongs to the National Capital Commission, a Crown corporation responsible for federal lands and buildings in the Ottawa area.
Officials said the house was razed by the flames and won't be rebuilt.
This comes less than a week after an NCC farmhouse was destroyed in a fire further down the same road.
Monday night, a fire at 305 Robertson Road caued half a million dollars in damage to a century-old farmhouse.
