Police in Ottawa and Gatineau are investigating a bomb threat at Prime Minister Stephen Harper's 24 Sussex Dr. residence.

Police say the call came in early Monday morning.  Officers traced the call to an apartment in Gatineau's eastern sector, surrounded the building, subdued the man inside and searched the apartment.  Police did not find a bomb or bomb making equipment.

Police say the man is known to police.  They do not believe there is a threat to the public since the man has no registered weapons and is not known as a bomb maker.

Officers have searched 24 Sussex Dr. and no bomb was found.
