Fire crews needed to extricate passengers from cars following two separate collisions in central Ottawa Tuesday night.

The first happened at about 7:30 p.m. when one car T-boned another at Rochester and Willow Streets.

One woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to hospital.

A similar collision happened about five hours later at the intersection of Wellington and Booth Streets.

A woman had to be extricated from the wreckage of one car. She and another person were treated for head lacerations by paramedics and transported to hospital.
