A 47-year-old woman is charged with the first-degree murder of her husband in Lanark County, southwest of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police found the body of 46-year-old Gerald Albert Madaire when they were called to a home in Drummond-North Elmsley Township on Monday night.
Police say they found obvious signs of trauma on Madairie's body. Preliminary results from a post-mortem indicate he died from foul play.
The victim's wife, Lucey Rollande Paquette, is charged with murder. She remains in custody.
