The westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Shannonville Road, just east of Belleville, were shut down for most of Saturday morning following a deadly rollover that killed a 55-year-old man.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene around 4:30 a.m. after an SUV rolled over, ejecting the man out on the road.
Traffic was being rerouted through Highway 49, a construction zone, which was slowing traffic even further.
Police said they would release the name after notifying the man's next of kin.
Belleville is about three hours southwest of downtown Ottawa.
