A police standoff in Cantley, Que. ended Friday with a man being shot by police. He died later in hospital.
Around 4 p.m., police were called to a home in the community north of Gatineau. There were reports a suspect had barricaded himself in his home.
Late Saturday, police confirmed the man was shot after he came out of the home, armed with a gun and threatening officers.
An investigation continues.
