Ottawa police were called to the city's west end Friday morning after a 60-year-old man was hit by a car.
Now, police are saying it could be attempted murder. It happened in the 6100 block of Perth Street just after 9:30 a.m.
Little other details were released Friday afternoon, but police say the driver and victim knew each other and an investigation is underway.
The elderly man is in critical condition at an Ottawa hospital; the accused is in custody.
