Ottawa police have identified a person of interest in connection with a sexual assault case reported on an OC Transpo bus last spring.

Police started investigating the case in June after a 29-year-old woman reported that she was inappropriately touched by an adult male seated next to her on the bus.

The woman was traveling on Rideau Street between downtown and the transit station on Blair Road at about 4 p.m. on June 4.

Police are now asking the public to help identify a man wanted in connection with the case. He is a black male with thinning dark hair.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS.
