As thousands of Ottawa residents line up to get their shot of the swine flu vaccine, tirelessly standing in line with them are health care workers trying to get as many people immunized as possible.

I was one of the thousands of people waiting in line. When I got into the building I found ten workers giving needles. One person at the door to tell you to go two feet to another person at a table of four workers to send you over to two people standing at door which waits for a table of three workers who watch the ten workers giving needles then they yell over to the people at the door and send you to one of the ten who are giving needles. Talk about wasted time and money Two people could have done their jobs and they could of had six more people giving the needles. what took Four hours could have taken two and, we could still have saved the wages of at least four people. Welcome to Ontario no wonder we have become a have not with this kind of management.

I can not say enough about these fine men and women and what they are doing for us, it just proves the saying to be true that not all angels hav wings.
What I have lost all respect for is the maner in which these clinics are being run and those runing the program and those people who think they are more important than any other person out there they make me sick.
I am respecting the request of who should be first etc even though I am at high risk with COPD a Heart condition an emunity condition and on oxygen 24/7, the reason I can't have the shot now is my age I am 68 and even with my condition's they say I am at less risk than a youg child and for that reason I gladly give up mine to save a child.
But I am not doing it for line jumpers and Million dollar Hockey Players I hope they are real proud of them selves and every time another child dies I doubt they think it could be any fault of theirs the JERKS!!!!
got my shot =)
I went yesterday to get my shot with my kids. I waiting a whole five minutes in the morning for my bracelets and just nder two hours later that evening for our shots. The people where excellent. Our nurse did a fantastic job. There was a little girl across from us who was really freaking out and the whole clinic stopped for a sec so she can relax and get her needle. It was wonderfull. My kids, aged 3 and 11 months, got there's with no problems. It was done quick and efficiantly and they where very friendly too. My kids appreciated the suckers and stickers... that was a nice touch!
although a bit sore today I am glad and relieved that we got them

Went to Orleans clinic on a Sunday... Twitter updates were good on telling us there was not a lineup. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. I was on the priority list, but I took the time to wait a little for the rush to die down, and it was well worth is. Everyone was very fast, efficient, and polite.

In the staff at the Merrickville Health Centre phoned the priority patients and told them when and where to report, in order to get their H1N1 shot. No fuss, no muss, not line up. I think they did an amazing job here.
