An autopsy in Montreal found a 53-year-old woman -- whose body was found floating in the Outaouais River in west Quebec -- died of drowning. However, police continue to treat her death as suspicious.
MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais say the woman's body was discovered by construction workers who were renovating a house near Quatre-Saisons Road in the municipality of Pontiac late Thursday morning.
Police say the woman, who was originally from Ecuador, lived in the area.
Police are continuing their investigation and say toxicology results are still being processed.
