Police remove suspicious package from OC Transpo bus

A busy downtown street was temporarily closed Thursday while an Ottawa police tactical team retrieved a suspicious package onboard an OC Transpo bus.
Police closed Slater Street between Kent and Lyon Streets for about 30 minutes Thursday afternoon.
Police were successfully able to retrieve the package, which they determined did not pose a risk to the public. No injuries were reported.
