A 72-year-old pedestrian has been upgraded to stable condition after he was hit by a car and thrown into the path of a bus near Ottawa's Experimental Farm on Tuesday morning.
Ottawa paramedics say the man was struck by a vehicle as well as a bus while he was walking in the 1000 block of Fisher Avenue at about 6:36 a.m.
He was treated for serious head and internal injuries and was rushed to hospital in critical condition. His condition has since been upgraded. He is now in stable condition with not life-threatening injuries.
Fisher Avenue was closed between Baseline Road and Shillington Avenue for several hours while police investigated. The road reopened at 11:30 a.m. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
