The 92-year-old was viciously attacked after answering a knock to her front door on June 2, 1995. Knight was forcibly confined by a male intruder, who spent a long time locating money and fleeing.
Knight freed herself and went to a neighbour's home for help. She was taken to hospital but never recovered from her injuries and died on Nov. 4, 1995.
