A 60-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck on Bank Street near Gloucester Street in Ottawa's Centretown neighbourhood Thursday afternoon.
Ottawa paramedics say the male pedestrian was under the vehicle when they arrived at the scene just after 3 p.m.
The man was treated for life-threatening head and internal injuries. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
Police say the intersection will remain closed for a few more hours.
The police investigation is ongoing.
