Gatineau police say a routine drug bust in a fast food parking lot on Friday has led them to a sophisticated drug operation with ties to organized crime.

Police say the arrest of two men who allegedly had 600 grams of cocaine on them while dealing drugs outside a McDonalds restaurant later led officers to a home where they seized one kilogram of cocaine, six cars and $150,000 in cash and stolen goods.

It's believed the men have ties to a Montreal gang called the Rough Riders.

Meanwhile, Cornwall police recorded the largest ecstasy bust in the city's history on Friday.

Police say two men were charged and 5,000 tablets of ecstasy valued at $110,000 were seized in a routine traffic stop on Brookdale Avenue.
