Max's RetirementCTV Ottawa anchor Max Keeping delivered his last newscast on March 26, 2010, after almost 40 years sitting behind the anchor desk. His leadership has been the backbone of the CTV Ottawa newsroom for years. His news judgment is sharp, and he's passed on that knowledge to anyone who's worked with him. Over the years, he's raised more than $100 million for charity. He is a member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario. A wing at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario is also named after him. Max's own foundation - the Max Keeping Foundation - aims to help children and families who don't meet the requirements of other charities that offer financial support in the Ottawa area. Max has also faced his own struggles, including a very public battle with prostate cancer, which he used to spread awareness about the disease. Although he didn't want this day to be about him, his retirement will be remembered by those who tuned in to watch him deliver the news every weeknight. We hope you will take the opportunity to explore this site.
